FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Atlanta, GA—October XX, 2025 — MedZed, LLC, a community-based healthcare company that engages high-need, hard-to-reach population, today announced the appointment of Daniel Zimmerman as Vice President of Product.

In this role, Zimmerman will oversee the development of technology that enables MedZed’s field teams to more effectively address health-related social needs—including food insecurity, transportation barriers, housing instability, and access to medical and behavioral health care. His work will center on designing intuitive, workflow-aligned products that help teams engage members, coordinate services across settings, and maintain continuity of care beyond traditional clinical environments.

Zimmerman brings more than a decade of experience building healthcare technology designed for real-world delivery. He has held senior product leadership roles at organizations including VigiLanz and Contessa Health, where he led product strategy through periods of growth and successful acquisitions. Across his career, he has focused on improving care coordination, enabling home-based and virtual care models, and reducing operational friction for teams working directly with patients and members.

“Daniel understands that strong care delivery depends on the tools available to the people doing the work,” said Scott Schnell, co-founder and CEO of MedZed. “Our teams are in homes and communities every day, helping members navigate food access, transportation, housing, and complex care transitions. Daniel’s leadership will ensure our technology truly supports that reality—making it easier for teams to deliver consistent, high-quality, person-centered care.”

Zimmerman added, “What drew me to MedZed is the clarity of its mission and the realism of its delivery model. Care doesn’t happen in dashboards—it happens in living rooms, parking lots, and community settings. My goal is to build products that reflect how care is actually delivered, so frontline teams can focus less on managing systems and more on helping people stabilize, stay engaged, and get the support they need.”
